ANZAC WALK

26/9/2015

Picture
ANZAC Walk is an avenue of 36 Ecalypt trees (Little Snowman). The Walk reproduces the avenue of trees that were planted in 1918 in honour of the soldiers who enlisted for duty in WWI from the Uranquinty district. The  36 trees have been planted to form an Avenue of Honour, one tree for each person who enlisted.
A memorial plaque bearing the names of the enlisted men was unveiled on Anzac Day 2015 at the cenotaph end of the avenue .
